No cable cars in SF?

Imagine how different it would have been if San Francisco mayor Roger Lapham had managed to get rid of all the cable cars back in the '40s!

Ken Miller: I'm a former long-time Amtrak employee, working in just about every station-type job that exists or existed in the San Francisco Bay Area. I've been a ticket agent, commissary clerk, baggage handler, acting station manager, etc. I have been a station trainer many, many times over the years, one of my favorite jobs. I retired in 2011, from my last position as Director, System Operations for the West Coast.
